Book Reviews
THIS is the way kids should be introduced to the idea that they are musical. Daniel and the Harmonica resonates with the magic that comes from making this discovery. What a wonderful way for parents to introduce children to the joy and purpose of playing an instrument! Children who read this book will feel that they can make music, too. Writing, illustration, book quality all top notch. Highly recommended to parents and kids everywhere. Jon Gindick

I loved working as an illustrator on this book. Not only is the story one of magical delight, it contains all you need for an afternoon or evening of fun for the family. What happens when a young boy is given a brand new harmonica for his birthday? Magic! Fun! Surprise! Rob Dubreuil has created an engaging, entertaining and interactive story for the whole family. The interactive portion is the harmonica notation for several songs in the back of the book. If you don't already have a harmonica you will want one so that you can play along with Daniel and his friends. In fact you may want to get several harmonicas so you can play as a group. Author Rob Dubreuil is quite a good "harp" player as well and his knowledge of the craft lends so much life to this book.Ginger Nielson

In Daniel and the Harmonica, author Rob Dubreuil tells the kind of story that every kid wants to hear and believe it could happen to them. As I read it, I was reminded of my own introduction as a child to this most kid-friendly of instruments and the instant fantasies that arose as I considered the possibilities. Ultimately though, Daniel delivers an even better story, a hopeful one that involves everybody getting in on the fun. It really is amazing what a little harmonica can do.Buddy Greene
